No wonder, since it hosts some of the world’s most diverse and largest wildlife. And these wildlife theatres are the best. They provide a uniquely different experiences, and animals and natural events to match. And if you want to have the real safari adventure you will want to check out these destinations.

Serengeti National Park (Tanzania)

Probably the most famous, Serengeti National Park is also the largest wildlife reserve in Africa. The park is divided into three areas, with the largest being the well-known savannah grasslands which cover almost two-thirds of the park. It is also the end point of the great migration of wildebeest and zebras. Other species that find refuge within its borders are lions, cheetahs, giraffes and a sensational bird population. Every year over a million wildebeest and zebra start their journey here. What makes the journey dangerous is the crossing of the Mara River, home to crocodiles and hypos. The Masai Mara is also home to the Masai people, who offer cultural tours and insight into their traditional way of life.

Chobe National Park (Botswana)

What attracts most people to Chobe National Park in Botswana is the numerous elephant population. It is home to the largest population of African elephants anywhere else, and if you go there you are probably going to see them in their hundreds. Chobe is also the place where you can find the Big 5 all at once. As the Chobe River runs through the park, it also hosts numerous other wildlife, set in a spectacularly beautiful theatre. Another great thing about this wildlife park is the fact that is close to Victoria Falls.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (Uganda)

A World Heritage Site, Bwindi is home to half of the world’s gorilla population. Set in a lush tropical jungle of the Virunga Mountain, this wildlife park offers a unique experience with gorilla tracking. Professional guides will introduce you to the majestic natural habitat of these awesome apes. The wildlife is not restricted to gorillas alone. Bwindi is also home to antelopes, elephants and chimpanzees.

Kruger National Park (South Africa)

North of Johannesburg, Kruger National Park is Africa’s oldest wildlife park. Also, home to the Big 5, apart from them hosts an astonishing list of other wildlife. Giraffes, cheetahs, crocodiles, hippos as well as an astounding array of birds have their homes here. Kruger is also the best managed wild life reserve, with quality roads. This means that many visitors choose to rent a rugged-terrain vehicle and explore the park on their own.
