Savour In Your Pujo Saree Spree!

sareez August 28, 2018

Yesterday met one old friend of mine and she suggested for a school reunion to be arranged. It was on that day, I felt nostalgic reminiscing the old ‘adda’ session, we used to have before the crack of the Puja holidays!

Today while I was passing by the street, I found the bamboos piled up in one corner and few people framing the structure of the pandal. That’s when it stroke my mind, that Pujas have come and it’s just a month left.

nullGone were those days, when as a teen school kid, I used to fish into my momma’s wardrobe to drape myself on a laal-paar-saree ‘red saree’. Though my habit has remained unchanged for over the years, but colour combination, styles and fashion sense obviously has had got a transformation.

Kolkata and its beautiful girls normally put our para guys ‘in a fix’. Obviously when you see the ‘Ya Debi’s aka Ya Baby’s’ in the bestest of best avatar.

nullAs I am running short of time, for the overload at my office, shopping at new market or gariahat wouldn’t be my choice. Hence, I would go for a saree online shopping to pick on the latest collections.

Get to know my looks during the Navratri Fashion Fiesta:

Shashti

null More than my recent wardrobe collections of sarees from online, I have decided to let my swag style do the talking. Have decided to ditch off my saree online shopping this time and slip on a palazzo and sleevless kurti with a kutch dupatta.

To round it up, Kohl and antique silver jhumkas would prep up my morning look for the day.

For the evening, it would be my mom’ rich red handloom saree with a bright black bindi and red lipstick.

Saptami

nullThis Saptami morning look would be a boat neck blouse paired up over a green colour net choli for the pushpanjali session.

Night at Maddox and for pandal hopping – off-shoulder blouse over a silk saree would look gorgeous.

Navami

This day being special for the dhunnuchi and Maa er Bhog and Kichuri. The whole , rather most of the day is spent at the Pandal.

Hence my look for the day would be fuschia pink saree and green kutch blouse. It’s a special saree picked from a renowned online portal.

nullNavami night is never complete without ‘dandiyas’. Hence, while doing my recent online saree shopping, got hold of this lehenga saree – which looks classy , chic and sexy.

Either a choli blouse or sleevless black – would look great with it.

Dasami

A day when we have to pay aideu to Maa durga.

nullFor the shiddur khela, bright plain red silk saree with white and black corset blouse is what I have chosen for this year.

null During the immersion ceremony, a black vest top with jean shrug would add to the final touch up in the evening.Seeing my swag look, even Maa Durga is planning her 5 stylish avtaars for this year Puja 2018.
