The Canadian Securities Course Sample Questions is an intensive education program usually offered by the Canadian Securities Institute ( CSI.) Successful completion of this program and subsequent exam allow an individual to function as a full-fledged securities broker with a registered securities brokerage. One also needs to have a CPA or certified public accountant registration number and have passed the examination offered by the Canadian Securities Exchange.

To obtain a CPA designation one should have taken a financial services exam which has been approved by the CRIA. The exam covers a wide array of investment products as well as taxation and securities laws applicable to investors in a Canadian jurisdiction. Once one has met the aforementioned requirements one is awarded their CPA designation. In order to take the exam, one needs to enroll for the Canadian Securities Course which can be done through any school offering the exams for examination online or through the mail.

The Canadian Securities Course consists of two exams, the first of which is the Managed Products exam and the second, the International Mutual Funds exam. The Managed Products exam is divided into two specific areas of study which are Concepts and Ideas, Processes and Models, and Regulations. Both these subjects cover different facets of financial instruments and how they are bought and sold, the differences between them, how they work, and what Canadian jurisdictions they are regulated in. The International Mutual Funds exam is divided into four main areas of study which are Rates, Policy Analysis, Policy Implementation, and Business Strategy. This is where students will learn how to design and manage mutual funds in Canada. Students will also learn about asset allocation, risks, and returns and how to diversify their investments and what types of investments are available in the Canadian market.

Upon successful completion of both the Managed Products exam and the International Mutual Fund exam, graduates will receive their CRIA and Canadian Securities certificates. From here, one will be able to enroll in a financial planning school that specializes in financial education which will, in turn, give them their license to operate in Canada. Once a person has met the aforementioned eligibility criteria, they can apply for their Canadian Securities Certificate which will provide them with a unique number to identify them as an authorized representative on their company’s International and Canadian Securities Registry.
