dsmith May 27, 2021

Most consumers cannot improve their health in one day. Therefore, resolutions that include a complete dietary overhaul, along with a rigorous exercise program are unrealistic. Rather than trying to change everything at once, make small changes. Small steps can add up to a long walk when you build up to it. Take small steps and work up to your ultimate goal; you’re much likelier to be successful when you start with several small steps.

Switch from butter to original ghee. Organic ghee has several health benefits, including an array of vitamins and minerals. The switch is easy because ghee tastes amazing. You’ll love the flavor, and your body will enjoy the health benefits. You can also replace your cooking oil with ghee. Once you try ghee, you’ll have no problem giving up butter or vegetable oil.

Replace one soft drink with a glass of water each day. If you normally drink three soft drinks per day, make one water. Each week, drink one less soft drink; soon you’ll be able replace these sugary, unhealthy drinks with the water your body needs.

Take a walk each day. Even if you’re out of shape, make it a point to walk. Walk to the end of your property the first day if that’s all you can do. Each day walk a bit further. As your body becomes accustomed to walking, you’ll be able to walk with ease.

Each week replace one carb with a vegetable. You can replace mashed potatoes with mashed cauliflower. Skip the fries and have carrot chips instead. There are many ways to cut carbohydrates out of your life. Make a cauliflower pizza crust, serve burgers on mushrooms rather than buns. Continue finding ways to cut carbs, and you’ll quickly see results from your healthier lifestyle.

Stop buying unhealthy snacks. If you don’t have unhealthy foods in your home, you’re less likely to eat them. Save desserts like cakes and cookies for special occasions and dining out. Go through your cabinets and get rid of any sweets and foods that you want to avoid.

Keep your vitamins somewhere that you see each day. So many forget to take their vitamins; keeping them on the table or on your bedroom dresser helps you remember to take them. None of the above ideas require you to make drastic changes in your lifestyle; many of the above start off slowly and easily and allow you to continue building on them. Make your health goals small and reasonable, and you’re more likely to stick with them. Don’t put off taking better care of yourself; start
